Looking for something fun to do this Labor Day weekend? You’re invited to a monkey birthday party! Head to Stone Zoo in Stoneham, Massachusetts, on Saturday, September 2, 2017 to help Kien and Paddy celebrate their 16th and 6th birthdays. These boys are father and son, which may sound weird, until you find out that they’re white-cheeked gibbons. Gibbons are a type of monkey native to Southeast Asia, and kids will get the chance to learn more about these fascinating primates at this family-friendly event.
The Gibbon Birthday Party takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the first 200 guests will receive complimentary birthday cake provided by Montilio’s Baking Company. At 11:30 a.m., stop by the Treetops and Riverbeds Exhibit to ask questions and meet the zookeepers, and be sure to sign the giant birthday card!
