Grafton Winter Carnival
Give outdoor sports like snowshoeing a try at the annual Grafton Winter Carnival.

On Saturday, February 25, celebrate the season at the 5th annual Grafton Winter Carnival in Grafton, Vermont, featuring a full day of frosty fun, plus nighttime merriment at the Grafton Inn’s uber-cool Ice Bar.

Activities begin at 9 a.m. at the Grafton Ponds Outdoor Center, where you can try fat biking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or snow tubing. From noon until 4 p.m., savor s’mores beside the outdoor bonfire. All of these activities are included with the purchase of a $15 Winter Carnival ticket, available at the gate. Ski, snowshoe and fat bike rentals are $12 each. Horse-drawn sleigh rides will also be available from noon until 3:30 p.m. for an additional fee of $20 for adults and $12 for children.

The fun doesn’t end at sundown. Head to the Grafton Inn for drinks at the Ice Bar from 2 to 7 p.m. Admission is $25 including two drinks and a souvenir glass. Phelps Barn Tavern, adjacent to the courtyard Ice Bar, will host live music starting at 7:30 p.m.
