Take a Saturday morning drive to a hilltop in New Britain, Connecticut, to see hundreds of rare and pristine Concours-quality automobiles at the next Klingberg car show. Now in its 26th year, the Klingberg Vintage Motorcar Series, hosted by Klingberg Family Center, delivers an expanded line-up of events, each with hundreds of classic and exotics cars. From pre-war (1942) vehicles to super cars, each display is uniquely themed.
Vintage car owners, enthusiasts and families from throughout New England won’t want to miss the three remaining events in the series this summer and fall:
Just in time for Father’s Day, early cars and classics will be on display on June 16. This family affair will feature Grand Marshal Wayne Carini from “Chasing Classic Cars” on Velocity and his daughter, Lindsay. The duo is scheduled to attend and share their love of collecting and restoring vintage, unique and rare automobiles.
Get your motor running! The September 22 Concorso of Super Cars includes exotic Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, adrenaline-flowing performance cars, as well as antique and vintage vehicles. See how the love of fast cars has evolved, and hear the spine-tingling roar of high-horsepower engines.
On October 27, the first-ever Klingberg vintage truck event is a rare opportunity to see the earliest workhorses and restored vehicles that New England businesses relied on to deliver products and fuel the American dream.
These charity events benefit an organization that has supported children and families since 1903. Stop by the on-site Klingberg History Museum, documenting the history of the Klingberg Family Center, and enjoy lawn games and hands-on crafts, too. And, when it’s time to refuel, visit the food truck for breakfast and refreshments.
